Writing a Book Can Solve All of Your Problems

So I don’t understand why you haven’t done it yet…

I’m talking about a non-fiction book here, not a fantasy novel. People always have very different views of what a book is, what you mean by it, what it’s supposed to be, … That’s why they have no idea how to write one.

There are already a lot of guides on how to write a nonfiction book. So I’m not going to comment on that. What is much more important is what such a book can do for you. It is much more than just a book.

1. Organizing Your Thoughts

Do you have a hard time organizing your thoughts? Write them down. But put them together in a book. This forces you to do more research on specific areas to fill in the gaps that have come up so far. Organize them so that someone else can understand them. What does this lead to? That you will also change your thinking and eventually be able to organize your thoughts better.

2. Money Maker

Ah yes, the money. What would this Medium article be without mentioning that you can also make money with it. By selling a lot — and I mean a lot — of books, you can make money. It’s actually like a machine that prints money. You write a book and sell it. It’s so simple that sometimes I wonder why so many people haven’t done it yet.

3. Position Yourself as an Expert

When people perceive you as an expert, it ultimately leads to people taking you more seriously in many ways. It also leads to people wanting to hire me — and wanting to give you more money again! What an incredible thing. But it’s also such a beautiful thing to suddenly be noticed for what you stand for.

4. Therapy

If you’re in a really bad place, you should write. This is nothing new. If you put together a book about how you managed to get out of a bad situation, it can help other people as well. I guess that makes you a benefactor. And once again, the book has shown what it can do.

5. …

It really can do so much more but I don’t have time to tell you about it….

Because I have a book to write…
