"Were you paid for doing that labor?"
If someone wants to submit a comment and they have to fill out a CAPTCHA for that, they had done two types of labor: Writing a comment and filling out the CAPTCHA. Both things are not mandatory to visit a website. They did not have to do it.
Meanwhile, we are doing so many other tasks that are mandatory but we are not paid for (e.g. filing our taxes). So many tasks that are mandatory to just exist in this world...
And nobody bats an eye...
I do not think that AI is necessarily the problem, but rather the capitalist notion that everyone wants to make money out of everything. It's all about numbers and not about "hey I created something cool and I want to share it with you" which is a pity. The end of art is not AI but rather the capitalist motivation behind such creations.
They all want to "give value". It's hilarious...
