1. You can mute everyone. On instagram I mean. Now you are still connected with them but you do not see them in your feed. You will still see their messages. Very nice feature.

2. Choose other accounts. Personally, I like to follow bookstagrammers, science and engineering accounts. That's it. I have muted (or deleted) everyone else. I go on Instagram for a nice intellectual quote or a book inspiration.

3. Use other social media platforms. There are some science-related channels on TikTok. For writers maybe Twitter is suitable (for sharing short insights and ideas it is great).

I personally like Medium too, although I do not consider it social media.
