Mr. Grazijevec

Saturday.

It was a warm winter morning.

The stone was dripping on the asphalt and the turtle had just covered a lot of ground.

It was dark in the deep and the Spirit of God hovered over the water.

There was an azure glow that broke over the woods.

But maybe it was just buttery bread.

No one knew for sure.

After all, we are our own master or mistress, especially as our responsibility extends over ourselves — or rather, we over them. Maybe it was just as well, he thought to himself, taking a cigarette from his suitcase and disappearing down an alley.

A baked apple drenched in oil is nothing more than a non-alcoholic Molotov cocktail. I watch what I eat and almost never drink water. A more of feelings. Hunger, envy, a dollop of strawberry cream.

The Mind of Mr. Grazijevec

A cake, to remind us how fat we already are.

Well, Mr. Grazijevec was a chronographer and rarely worked in one place or time. In the near future it was supposed to be his house, but it wasn’t yet or hasn’t been yet.

So it was just a house.

Pasta at Warp.

Very special cheese macaroni were only available there at Joe’s Disturbing Noodles.

They were deliciously overbaked and had a slight cinnamon flavor.

This may sound a little strange to inexperienced travelers, but nothing is strange at Joe’s Disturbing Noodles.

So far, no one has asked why it’s called that, either. So let’s take a closer look at this dive on the edge of the Warp: Besides a small entrance, the facade is quite nicely designed.

There are bold warnings hanging everywhere: Blorgs not welcome or Xzuruskarakzen must unfortunately stay outside.

Xzuruskarakzen as imagined by the people

Every traveler is well aware of such amenities. Every tavern owner adheres to such regulations, even if he makes exceptions every now and then.

These regulations are still from the time before XV-17.

The reason, however, has unfortunately been forgotten and is also irrelevant to this story. But what is much more important — and this should always be kept in mind — is not to question such regulations.

The appearance of XV-17
