Is it possible to read one book a day?
It depends on the book and your reading speed…
A serious question…
This was my question after I saw a few people online talking about it.
I did not think it was in any way possible but I was open to trying it. It happens to take some time but it should be possible if the book is not that long. If we are talking about 100 pages that is something achievable.
Since I am able to read 800 words per minute at full speed and there are 250 words per page usually in a book, it should be possible for me to read 16 pages in 5 minutes — therefore reading a 100 page book in 20 minutes and 200 pages in 40 minutes.
But reality does not work like that, because reading at that pace is hard and exhausting…
It’s important to note that while reading at a high speed may be possible, it can also make it more difficult to retain information and fully engage with the book. Additionally, reading at such a fast pace can also be tiring and may not allow for a fully immersive reading experience.
It’s also worth noting that reading speed can vary depending on the type of book, the genre, and the individual’s reading preference.
Some books may be more easily digestible at a faster pace, while others may require a slower reading speed to fully understand and appreciate. I know that books on Mathematics cannot be read at such a speed, but you can read self-help books this way!
Conclusion
Reading one book per day is certainly possible, but it may depend on the length of the book, your reading speed, and your desire and ability to read at such a fast pace.
If you hate reading it might become hard to do. It’s also important to find a balance between speed and comprehension and not to push yourself too hard when reading.
Take a break, take notes, review them and learn.
