Hear me out:
The easiest would probably be to stop thinking about the money and the dream of making money as a writer. It's a dream many writers have. Most writers make little to none. And it's honestly not that relevant. Separate the two instead.
If you could write whatever you want without thinking about the money at all, would you do it? Absolutely!
Focus on delivering your writing. But not because you want to make money off of it, but because you love writing. This will open other opportunities! This happened to me: I wrote some books, did not sell many of them, but it does not matter, still got hired several times because of the books I have written.
Which is why I always tell people: Write a book. Not because you will make much money off of it -> it will open many other opportunities.
