We spend most our time on this planet working.
Grinding.
Trying to “make it”.
So one day, hopefully, we can do whatever we want.
A colleague passed away recently.
There is nothing more to say about this.
I do not know why he died.
Could be an accident, a sickness, but it really does not matter.
He was not much older than me.
And now he’s gone…
We spend most our time on this planet working.

But this day might never come…
The marshmallow experiment told us we should postpone pleasure.
Then we will be successful.
But that’s not the end of the story.
The test, it seems, is not that predictive.
The co-author died before it’s completion.
He postponed too long.
How ironic…
